Location: Multiple Communities - Charlotte, NC

Reports To: Grounds Supervisor / Property Management Team

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday with occasional weekends and on-call rotation

The Grounds Crew plays a key role in maintaining the appearance, safety, and overall presentation of Marsh Properties’ residential and commercial communities. This position is responsible for a wide range of landscaping and maintenance tasks that keep our grounds clean, attractive, and well cared for. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in their work—contributing to the high standards that define the Marsh Properties experience.

• Perform all activities related to grounds maintenance, including mowing, edging, blowing debris from curbs and common areas, trimming trees and shrubs, and spreading mulch.
• Maintain cleanliness by removing litter, debris, and leaves from community grounds and common areas.
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, chain saws, and pressure washers safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate larger machinery such as dump trucks, tractors, and bobcats when required.
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow/ice removal and distribution of ice melt.
• Monitor and report maintenance issues or safety concerns observed during daily rounds.
• Maintain an organized grounds shop, including inventory of supplies and routine equipment maintenance.
• Participate in the on-call (Saturday) rotation and assist with after-hours needs during seasonal periods.

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related field.
• Ability to operate and maintain grounds equipment and small engines.
• Physical ability to lift 50-75 pounds and perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.

Preferred:

• Experience in small engine, truck, or landscape equipment repair.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
