What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Well-Being Coach (MMA East) position at Marsh McLennan?
The financial well-being coach focuses on engaging and motivating clients, providing a strong understanding of personal finances, and developing the ability to teach that knowledge to others. The Financial Coach is responsible for helping clients in developing plans that help them reach their goals and achieve financial stability. The Financial Coach is expected to focus services in a one-on-one counseling format,
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Conduct virtual, one-on-one financial coaching meetings with employees of participating clients.
Discuss financial topics that are of concern to each employee including: retirement planning, investments, Social Security, basic estate planning, insurance, student loan debt, budgeting etc. Be prepared for each call based on a pre-scheduled meeting.
Conduct webinar training sessions for clients to explain the features and benefits of the Prosper Wise financial well-being program.
Respond efficiently to requests and/or client service issues via phone & email communications.
Maintain accurate recording-keeping on each meeting to ensure continuity for future meetings with the same participant.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in financial advisory field and/or other related field is required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the financial services field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Series 65 or Series 66 license is preferred.
Must be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision and has confidence to collaborate with, and present findings and recommendations to, executive-level positions
Ability to engage with others and collaborate as part of a team
Strong written, verbal and listening skills, including communication of technical and complex content in ways so they are easier to understand for general audiences
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong, creative problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to follow through on, and successfully execute, tasks while adhering to specified quality standards
Must be able to effectively interact with internal teams, external clients and prospective clients
