Position Summary:

A Wellness Aide is responsible for performing routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing, and maintaining paper and electronic files, or providing information to callers. This position will also work as a Provider in our SafeCare program, maintaining a caseload of 10-15 sessions per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.

  • Use computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing.
  • Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
  • Create, maintain, and enter information into databases.
  • Set up and manage electronic or paper filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, such as attendance records, correspondence, or other material.
  • Operate office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, or phone systems and arrange for repairs when equipment malfunctions.
  • Greet visitors or callers and handle their inquiries or direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
  • Maintain scheduling and event calendars.
  • Complete forms in accordance with company procedures.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for clients, customers, or supervisors.
  • Make copies of correspondence or other printed material.
  • Complete the 4-day SafeCare Provider training course, and work with our SafeCare Coach for Provider Certification.
  • Prepare, compile, submit, and maintain accurate records, files, forms, statistics, and additional relevant information in accord with agency policy, licensing and/or funding requirements.
  • Review the Riverside County SafeCare contract for compliance with upload requirements and ensure session and contact notes are input as needed for contract compliance.
  • Review the Riverside County SafeCare contract for compliance with face-to-face and virtual sessions provided.
  • Conduct In-home or virtual SafeCare sessions with clients and their children.
  • Complete calls with social workers to provide client updates as needed.
  • Prepare materials for clients as needed for services.
  • Prepare monthly documentation regarding client session status.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and participate in team decisions and operations.
  • Adhere to Child Abuse and reporting requirements.
  • Must be relied upon regarding task completion and meeting deadlines without sacrificing accuracy, work quality, or customer service satisfaction.
  • Attend meetings and trainings when needed or requested.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the assigned supervisor and or management.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and must have reliable transportation.   • A Valid Driver's License 
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma: or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Mathematical Ability:

Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percentage, and draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; with emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to learn and navigate our electronic medical records system.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and move around for work. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
