We are a full service CPA firm located in Emerson, NJ. We offer a wide range of accounting and tax services. Currently looking to fill an on-site STAFF ACCOUNTANT to join our team!
Must have the ability to work on multiple clients as we are a Certified Public Accounting Firm servicing many business and personal clients OR have prior public accounting experience.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare/ input accounting data, reconcile monthly bank statements to general ledger. posting adjusting entries.
- Input data into Thomson Reuters Accounting system (will train)
- Good working knowledge of QuickBooks - both desk top and online versions.
- Prepare financial statements as needed, finalize trial balances at year for business tax return reporting
- Perform Compilation, Reviews and Audits of the financial statements for those clients requiring year end financial statements.
- Additional financial reporting as requested.
- Sales tax reporting (monthly & quarterly)
- Payroll (after the fact) reporting and quarterly filing for those payroll processed in house.
- Tax preparation experience a plus
- Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Knowledge in and experience with QuickBooks online and desk tops versions, bank downloads, etc.
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
- Willingness to learn Thomson Reuters Tax and Accounting software (training to be provided) and other software programs as needed.
- Must be able to commute to office every day and occasional client visits.
- Organized, attentive, detail and deadline-oriented
- Willingness to work overtime and/or Saturdays as needed during tax season
