Day Shift: 5:18am- 5:48pm
Night Shift: 5:18pm- 5:48am
(4 Days, 3 OFF, 3 Nights, 1 OFF, 3 Days, 3 OFF, 4 Nights, 7 OFF)
The Black Seal Boiler Operator is responsible for the operation and reliability of plant utility systems and be able to trouble shoot and make repairs on a wide variety of equipment. Additionally, complete preventive maintenance on equipment and identify/implement continuous improvement opportunities.

The Black Seal Boiler Operator is responsible for the operation and reliability of plant utility systems and be able to trouble shoot and make repairs on a wide variety of equipment. What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must currently possess a New Jersey High Pressure Boiler Black or Blue Seal License
- 3 years of maintenance experience
- Multi-craft skills (Ex: mechanical, welding & electrical)
- Proficient in computer systems (EX: MS Office, email, etc.)
- 3 years industrial maintenance experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with cogeneration
- Knowledge of Lab processes for Boiler Feedwater analysis
- Blue Seal Non-Toxic Refrigeration License
- Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping
- Hand dexterity- open, grip and close valves
- Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces
- Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
- Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
- Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English
- Safe operation and maintenance throughout the site and Utilities Department
- Responsible for high pressure boilers, a 10 MW CoGeneration turbine, centrifugal refrigeration chillers, cooling towers, centrifugal air compressors, and HVAC systems
- Troubleshoot and make repairs throughout the entire complex on a wide variety of equipment
- Preventive maintenance
- Identify, recommend and implement continuous improvement opportunities
- Assigned an essential personnel card with the state of New Jersey
- This site operates 24 hours a day/365 days a year
- Any ad hoc requests
- Starting Pay: $39.43- 47 per hour (based on experience)
- Shift Differential: $2 per hour
