Travel ICU RN – Intensive Care Unit

Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158

Contract Type: Travel | 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)

Start Date: 1/5/2026

Compensation (Travelers Only)

• $2,016 weekly – W2, taxable (without benefits)
• $1,200 weekly – Per diem, nontaxable
• Total Weekly Compensation: $3,216

Shift Details

• Nights – 4x12 Hours
• Hours: 19:00 – 07:00
• Schedule: Every Other Weekend
• Float: May float to IMCU/Stepdown as needed

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN License
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS – Must be in hand at submission
• Travel Nursing Experience Required
• 2 years recent ICU experience
• Strong CRRT skills required
• 2 manager/supervisor references (within 1 year, one must be current/most recent assignment)

Clinical Experience

• Patient Ratios:
• Days: 1:2
• Weekends: 1:2
• Charting System: Epic (Preferred)
• Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred
• Community Hospital Experience: Preferred

• Ventilator management
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• ABG interpretation
• BiPAP/CPAP
• Suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Care of ventilated patients
• Fresh tracheostomy
• Respiratory failure, pulmonary edema, pulmonary embolism

Cardiovascular:

• CVP monitoring
• Epicardial pacing wires
• Post-cardiac surgery care
• Titrate cardiac drips & vasoactive drips
• Coronary conditions, LVAD/RVAD*, IABP*, Impella*
• Swan-Ganz monitoring*, sheath removal*

Renal:

• CVVHD/CRRT
• Acute & chronic renal failure

Neuro:

• CVA/stroke management
• Post-neurosurgery care*
• ICP monitoring*, lumbar drains*, EVD*
• Traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury
• Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun*

Procedures & Medications:

• Central/arterial line management
• Blood product administration
• Continuous IV sedation
• Emergency medications
• Procedural sedation monitoring

Other Skills:

• Infection prevention
• Isolation/PPE
• Phlebotomy
• Wound care & wound vac
• GI surgery
• IV therapy & central line care
