Anesthesia Technician

Contract Length: 13 weeks (possible extension)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Patient Service Area: Greater Milwaukee
Position Overview
A leading Milwaukee surgical facility is seeking an experienced Anesthesia Technician to support a high-volume OR team. This role supports anesthesia services across multiple specialties, including OR, L&D, IR, GI, and inpatient procedures requiring general anesthesia. The team averages 20–23 cases per day and works in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call is required and divided among current techs (approximately 1–2 weeknights and every 4th weekend).

Required Qualifications
- BLS certification
- Completion of accredited Anesthesia Tech program
- 2–3 years of experience (3 years for first-time travelers)
- EPIC experience (required)
- Experience with difficult IV access
- Experience in L&D, IR, and GI
Preferred
- ASATT certification
Call & Scheduling
- Monday–Friday: 0630–1500
- Weeknight call: End of shift–0630
- Weekend call: 0630 Saturday–0630 Sunday (based on needs)
- Holiday requirement: 1 holiday
- Up to 7 days RTO approved
Equipment & Systems
- EPIC charting (required)
- Alaris
- Pyxis
- iStat / Hemochron
- GE C-Arm (setup only)
Orientation
- 3–5 days (8-hour shifts)
- Day 1: Meet with Nurse Manager & Educator (CBLs, access setup)
- Remaining days: Unit orientation with preceptor
