Experienced Residential roofing Foreman

Position Summary

Mars Roofing is seeking an experienced Residential Roofing Foreman to lead and build our in-house roofing crew. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering high-quality residential roofing projects safely, on schedule, and to Mars Roofing standards.

In the early stages, this individual will personally complete repairs and smaller projects while helping recruit, train, and develop a scalable roofing team. This role offers significant growth opportunity as Mars Roofing expands its production operations.

Key Responsibilities Crew Leadership

• Lead and supervise residential roofing crews on job sites
• Train team members in proper installation techniques and company standards
• Maintain job site discipline, professionalism, and efficiency
• Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures at all times

Roofing Installation & Repairs (Hands-On)

• Asphalt shingle roof replacements
• Roof repairs
• Flashing installation and repair
• Leak detection and diagnosis
• Vent installation
• Deck repair and replacement

Note: This is not solely a supervisory role. The foreman must be capable of performing all roofing tasks independently.

Quality Control

• Ensure all installations meet Mars Roofing quality standards
• Identify and correct issues immediately
• Prevent callbacks and warranty claims
• Maintain high craftsmanship standards on every project

Your profitability lives and dies in quality control.

Job Site Management

• Confirm materials are accurate and sufficient before and during projects
• Coordinate deliveries and logistics
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule

Communication & Reporting

• Communicate daily with the Production Manager
• Report project issues immediately
• Document work progress with photos
• Maintain clear and accurate job records

Initial Role Expectations (Important)

As Mars Roofing builds its in-house production team, early-stage responsibilities include:

• Personally performing repairs and small jobs
• Assisting in recruiting crew members
• Training and developing new hires
• Helping establish installation systems and standards

This role evolves into larger crew leadership as the department grows.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements

• 5 years of residential roofing experience
• 2 years as a foreman or lead installer
• Expert-level asphalt shingle installation skills
• Strong repair and leak diagnosis capabilities
• Valid driver’s license
• Physically capable of performing roofing labor
• Fluent in both English and Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience training and developing crews
• Experience managing full roof replacements
• Strong leadership and organizational skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Total Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000 annually
• Base Salary: $75,000
• Performance-Based Bonus Structure
• Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance after 60 days
• 401(k) plan eligibility after 1 year
