What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Profesional position at Mars Premier Care LLC?
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Community-Based Support in Morris Plains, NJ. This individual enjoys being active in the community and is looking for someone to assist in accessing activities such as shopping, going to the gym, and possibly volunteering.
Schedule:
- 2–3 days per week, approximately 4 hours per day
- Flexible weekday scheduling
- Must be available at least one weekend day if needed
- Total: 12 hours/week
Responsibilities:
- Provide community-based support and transportation to local activities
- Encourage independence and skill-building through recreational and volunteer opportunities
- Maintain accurate daily documentation using Therap Promote safety, inclusion, and person-centered engagement
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or GED - Valid CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle required
Clean background check and eligibility to work with vulnerable populations - Ability to assist with community mobility and light support needs
- Excellent communication skills and ability to document services in Therap
