Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms thoroughly, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies
- Perform detailed cleaning of bathrooms, including disinfecting sinks, toilets, showers, and tubs using appropriate chemicals and sanitation techniques
- Handle laundry services such as washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas like hallways, lobbies, elevators, and stairwells through regular janitorial tasks
- Use specialized cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, floor buffers, window cleaning tools, and other machinery safely and effectively
- Ensure proper handling of cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning supplies or furniture movement while adhering to manual handling safety standards
- Follow infection control procedures diligently to prevent the spread of germs and maintain high sanitation standards
- Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Support overall custodial operations by maintaining inventory levels of cleaning supplies and reporting shortages or equipment issues
Experience
- Prior Housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning techniques, including window cleaning, floor care, and sanitation practices is advantageous
- Experience with chemical handling and safe use of cleaning equipment is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting, manual handling, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety procedures related to custodial work
