What are the responsibilities and job description for the Houseman position at Marriott International, Inc?
Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, DSJ Hospitality. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. Cleans the lobby, pool, and restrooms
Restocks the restrooms with supplies as needed
Empties all trash around front desk area, entrances, pool, and outside
Picks up all trash and cigarette butts from the parking lots, sidewalks and grass
Ensures the dumpster area is clean and doors are kept closed
Cleans the pool area and all pool furniture including:
Windowsills
Sweeping and mopping
Emptying the towel hamper
Checks to ensure there are enough pool towels available for guests prior to leaving for the day
Cleans the ice machine areas by dusting, wiping down machines, and mopping the floor
Mops all public area tile and hard surfaces
Cleans and stocks business center with necessary office supplies
Cleans fitness center, make sure water jugs are replenished when empty, make sure towels are replenished and trash is discarded
Vacuums the hallways on each floor after 10:00am
Pull the linen and trash from the guest rooms after departures
Complete weekly hotel deep cleaning
Performs any other tasks and/or duties asked by management
Customer Service – Responds promptly to client and employee needs; Solicits client feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments
Safety – The employee is safety conscious about the work environment and equipment. The work area is free of debris to prevent trip and slip hazards. All products and equipment are stored in its proper location.

Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Develops alternative solutions.
