Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Line Cook role located in La Mesa, CA. The Line Cook will prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with Marriott's standards and customer preferences. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and stocking stations with necessary supplies, preparing food for service, cooking menu items to specification, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. The Line Cook will ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines while actively contributing to a collaborative kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and health regulations
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in preparing a variety of cuisines is a plus
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Formal culinary training or certification is preferred but not required
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays
