How You'll Make an Impact at MarqVision

We are seeking a high-performing People Operations Team Lead (US) to lead and optimize our HR operations in the United States. As a key member of the Global People Team, you will partner closely with internal stakeholders in Korea and the U.S. to deliver best-in-class HR services. This is a strategic and hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of U.S. employment regulations, cross-cultural communication skills, and a proactive mindset.

What You’ll Achieve  

• Own and manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, immigration, and employment verifications for the US office.
• Lead payroll and benefits administration through platforms like Justworks, ensuring compliance with U.S. labor laws and internal deadlines.
• Maintain and improve HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, Justworks) and drive process automation and efficiency across People Ops workflows.
• Act as a cultural and operational bridge between the U.S. and Korea teams by facilitating smooth cross-border communications and resolving misunderstandings.
• Analyze HR data to identify trends in retention, engagement, and compensation, and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
• Support employee relations matters with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.
• Partner with external vendors and legal advisors on immigration cases (e.g., H-1B, STEM OPT).
• Develop and refine policies, handbooks, and SOPs to reflect both global alignment and local compliance.

Skills You’ll Need to Bring 

• 7-10 years of relevant HR/People Operations experience, preferably in a fast-paced startup or tech company.
• Fluency in Korean and English, with proven ability to communicate professionally in both written and spoken form.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS tools such as Justworks, BambooHR, or similar.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. employment law, payroll operations, and benefits administration, including compliance requirements.
• Experience managing immigration processes such as H-1B, STEM OPT, or other work visa cases in collaboration with legal counsel.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a global, remote-first environment and work cross-functionally with international teams.
