Responsibilities
- Identify various trees, shrubs, pests, and diseases to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Apply eco-friendly treatments, including fertilization, soil amendments, and pest or disease control
- Perform deep root injections, soil compaction alleviation, and watering as needed
- Operate and maintain specialized plant health care equipment, such as air spades and root pruners
- Conduct daily inspections and routine maintenance of equipment to ensure safety and functionality
- Follow all safety protocols and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain accurate records of pesticide applications, work logs, and customer interactions
- Interact professionally with clients, providing education on tree and plant health
- Identify opportunities for additional services and assist in scheduling treatments
Qualifications
- Experience in plant health care, tree care, landscaping, or a related field preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of tree and shrub identification, or willingness to learn
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow precise directions and safety procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid drivers license required; CDL preferred
