Although not required, experience in orthopaedics, rehabilitation, or trauma is welcome. Strong applicants in other research areas will also be considered for our rapidly growing department. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an internationally recognized research program and to participate in the teaching and service missions of the Department. Responsibilities of the successful candidate include demonstrated excellence in teaching, research and service. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising and directing undergraduate and graduate students, performing service to the Department, College, University and academic community.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate will have earned a PhD in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of biomedical engineering in the broadly defined area of computational biomechanics, robotics, prosthetics/orthotics, and/or finite element methods. Although not required, experience in orthopaedics, rehabilitation or trauma is welcome.
