Principal Responsibilities:
- Create and edit engaging multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and social media reels that reflect the Marquette brand.
- Conduct interviews with vessel and shore-based employees to source authentic stories that showcase Marquette's people and culture.
- Support internal and external communications by generating content ideas and assisting with messaging.
- Leverage analytics to determine effectiveness and seek continuous improvement of communication and marketing initiatives.
- Assist with internal communications plan, including campaign themes, content calendar, and promotional strategies.
- Participates in planning and strategic brainstorming for communications projects and events.
- Assist with day-to-day communications tasks and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Currently seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related fields.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook) and an interest in emerging digital trends.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with design and video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools) preferred.
- A self-starter who works well independently and takes initiative with minimal oversight.
- Creative thinker who is comfortable generating new ideas and trying innovative approaches.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with comfort engaging employees across departments and levels.
- Willingness and ability to travel and board vessels.
