Quality Inspector
$25 - $27/hr
1st shift
6am start time
Monday - Friday OT
Must have experience in aerospace manufacturing quality inspections
Position Summary
We are seeking a Quality Inspector to perform inspection activities on purchased and manufactured parts, assemblies, and final deliverable units. This role requires the ability to interpret engineering drawings, perform First Article Inspections (FAI) using AS9102, document nonconformances, and use CMM and standard inspection equipment to ensure product compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform receiving, in-process, final, and shipping inspections
- Create First Article Inspections (FAI) using AS9102 forms
- Inspect complex parts using CMMs and precision measuring equipment
- Interpret engineering drawings, process specifications, and customer requirements
- Document nonconforming material through NCRs and support disposition
- Maintain inspection records and scan quality documentation into the ERP system
- Support calibration activities by managing inspection equipment and coordinating recalibration
- Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and external calibration providers
- Train to become an FAA ODA unit member (as required)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of inspection, machinist, or technician experience
- Experience with GD&T
- Proficiency using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, CMM, Romer Arm, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a calibration environment preferred
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally
- Combination office and manufacturing floor environment
- Moderate noise level
