We're looking for a motivated, self-starter to join our award-winning news team as an Reporter/ MultiMedia Journalist for our Casper, Wyo. team. This is a terrific opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow in the broadcast industry without the high-stakes presser of a larger market.
KCWY-TV is the dominant news source for the Casper market and serves as a partner alongside KGWN Cheyenne-Scottsbluff. Located in central Wyoming, Casper is in the perfect location to enjoy skiing, camping, hiking, and just about anything outdoors you can imagine. Filled with great breweries, museums, fly fishing holes, and local shopping, it's got something for everyone. Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Perform regular duties of an MMJ - from developing story ideas to shooting, editing, and going live, as well as posting on digital and social platforms
- Meet tight daily deadlines for broadcast while posting web content that is original and fresh in a timely manner
- Respond urgently and appropriately to breaking and developing news
- Knowledge of non-linear video editing programs is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility in scheduling, to respond to the changing news landscape
Requirements
