Job description:
Shelter Asset Management (SAM) is part of the Drewlo Family of Companies, which has been built on the foundation of six decades of experience of developing, owning, and managing high quality, award winning, rental apartments, master plan developments, and single-family homes. SAM is seeking a talented Interior Renovation Foreman who oversees and coordinates all on-site interior remodeling and renovation activities. This role ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications, schedules, and budgets. The Foreman leads crews, manages subcontractors, and maintains quality control from demolition through final finishes.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day renovation activities including demolition, framing, drywall, flooring, painting, millwork, and finishes.
- Lead and coordinate work crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries to meet project deadlines.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan work sequences and assign tasks.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure quality workmanship, safety compliance, and adherence to project plans.
- Monitor materials, tools, and equipment usage to reduce waste and ensure efficiency.
- Coordinate with project managers on scheduling, scope changes, and project updates.
- Troubleshoot on-site challenges and resolve issues quickly to minimize project delays.
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
- Maintain daily logs of labor, materials, and progress for reporting.
- Ensure the worksite remains organized, clean, and professional at all times.
Education & Experience
- 5 years of experience in interior renovation, carpentry, or general construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Skills & Requirements
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, building codes, and interior finishing standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven track record of managing multiple trades and meeting tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and jobsite safety practices.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel between job sites as needed.
