Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of hoagies and sandwiches according to established recipes and customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food prep areas, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and upselling menu items to enhance their experience
- Manage time effectively to ensure quick service during busy hours while maintaining quality standards
- Restock ingredients, condiments, and supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations throughout each shift
- Assist with food handling duties including bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and supporting overall restaurant sanitation efforts
Experience
- Prior experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants, cafés, or grocery stores is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
- Experience in retail math or grocery store environments is a plus but not mandatory
