Conducts general business support, including handling inquiries from external or internal customers, coordinating resolution of customer issues with internal departments, explaining products/services and billing procedures to customers, assisting customers in completing forms and gathering/recording information needed for proper transactions. Typically has 3-5 years of experience and works under broad supervision. Incumbents working in a call center environment should be matched to call center positions instead of this role. Match only non-exempt incumbents to this position.

This position is responsible for service and parts order quoting/writing along with other customer service responsibilities, dealing directly with Kentucky Trailer customers with aftermarket support needs. This position works collaboratively with other Kentucky Trailer associates/ leaders to achieve targeted volume and revenue expectations. This position develops specifications and pricing estimates for trailer and box truck repairs and refurbishment, as well as aftermarket parts sales.

Position Key Accountabilities:

• Communicate with customers to build and provide service and parts quotes including high frequency phone and email interface with the customer
• Write/revise quotes and orders as needed
• Assist Purchasing associates to source vendors for unique, job-specific parts.
• Be able to read and understand drawings.
• Continuously providing input to improve the estimating and order processing cycle time and effectiveness.
• Serve as technical resource for customers and KTS associates
• Help manage customer relationships

• Minimum education of High school (Grade 12) or equivalent (Associate degree a plus).

• Five plus years of experience in a heavy duty commercial vehicle repair and/or service environment or Kentucky Trailer manufacturing experience a plus

• Strong communication skills required (oral and written)

• Committed customer service ability-professional demeanor, positive outlook, sense of urgency, and discipline to meet the needs of customers in a timely fashion

• Good problem solving skills, high quality, attention to detail, and solid math skills.

• Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously

• Ability to work in a fast pace environment.

• Demonstrated proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft Office (Experience with any type of service center software or specifically Service Point/Counter Point and CAD print reading is a plus)

• Ability to work alone or to work jointly with Service Writers, Operations, Sales, Finance, and others to achieve targeted expectations
