Marlin Shipping is Looking for Freight Import Operations Specialist to join our forwarding team. The role involves managing daily documentation, ensuring compliance with CBP and SSL regulations, and handling basic shipping documents.
- Work Days: Mon till Fri (On Site)
- Hours: 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM
- Job Type: Full-time (OnSite)
- Location: NY, Valley Stream 11581
- Annual Pay Range: $50,000 – $60,000 (based on relevant experience and skills)
Few of the key responsibilities include but not limited to following
- Oversee all import and export shipment documentation (air and sea) from booking to delivery.
- Validate and manage documentation for shipments, including master and house bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and delivery orders.
- Liaise with carriers, airlines, transport companies, and customs brokers to facilitate timely cargo movement.
- Liaise with clients for shipment updates, pre-alerts, and required documentation.
- Make sure all activities follow customs rules, company procedures, and international trade laws.
- Maintain proper records of all shipments for audit and reference purposes
PRE REQUISITES
- Minimum 1 year of relevant freight forwarding or related logistics experience preferred.
- Familiarity with GoFreight or CSUL is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks tasks in a fast-paced environment.
