We are looking for a full-time Nursery School Teacher to join the Saul and Carole Zabar Nursery School at the Marlene Meyerson Jewish Community Center of Manhattan ("the JCC"). The Saul and Carol Zabar Nursery School is a Reggio-inspired, Jewish-values-based, child-centered school where students are respected as citizens with powerful ideas and voices. Teachers facilitate learning by working collaboratively with children as researchers, guiding and following the interests of the group.

We are seeking a teacher who shares a belief in school community and progressive pedagogy. Reporting to the Nursery School Director, we are looking for an Associate Teacher who shares a belief in school community and progressive pedagogy.
General Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Working collaboratively with various teaching teams
- Open to learning about the Reggio Emilia teaching philosophy and Jewish values as they pertain to work with children
- Supporting teaching teams with observation and documentation
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Director or Associate Director as needed
Education Requirements:
- Minimum requirement: Bachelor's Degree (or in progress) in a related field
- Relevant experience

Salary:
Commensurate with experience, ranging from $47,000 to $57,000, with full health and fringe benefits, including free onsite gym membership. We are based in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, conveniently located close to the 1, 2, and 3 subway lines.
