We are seeking Casual Lifeguards
Hours of Work: Casual hours as arranged / agreed
Salary: Dependent upon skills and experience
Applications are invited for Casual Lifeguards to work in the College’s state of the art, 25-metre, indoor swimming pool, which has eight lanes, the pool is 2m deep with no shallow end making it equally ideal for squad training, water polo, sub aqua, canoeing or recreational swimming. The swimming pool is not only used by the College it also has the Marlborough College Health Club, which members of the public paying a monthly fee to use the pool. It is also used by Marlborough Penguins ASC, Swindon Dolphins ASC, Wiltshire Swimming, Swim England and GB Water Polo and others.
The pool is generally open 0645-2200 hrs Monday to Friday, and 0700-1300 hrs during weekends, throughout the year. You will be required to support the main team who work on a rota system between these hours and you will work by arrangement, on a casual basis. As such there is a requirement to be flexible with working hours.
A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is a requirement for this position. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential in order to liaise and work, within a small team, and with people at all levels.
The successful candidates will ensure the safety of the users and compliance with all safety legislation and procedures.
