Product owner- Mortgage
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA Onsite 3 days a week
Duration: 6-12 months extendable
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner with deep domain expertise in Mortgage Lending to join our dynamic team onsite. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that our mortgage lending products deliver maximum value to customers and align with strategic goals.
Required Qualifications: Proven experience as a Product Owner in the Mortgage Lending domain. Strong understanding of mortgage lifecycle processes including origination, underwriting, servicing, and closing. Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as TRID, RESPA, and HMDA. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively with local teams.
Key Responsibilities: Own and manage the product backlog for mortgage lending solutions. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather, define, and prioritize business requirements. Translate mortgage lending business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria. Work with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, UX/UI, and compliance to deliver high-quality product increments. Daily sync with Business Advisors / Implementation Leads in services to share release updates, Release Quality and Business effort reduction for UAT should be able to Manage the team of salesforce TPMs & functional SMEs in implementing and driving E2E program delivery. Responsible for Business validation for US, Europe, and APAC regions. Experience in large-scale enterprise technology transformation (EMC2 to DELL)Insightful experience in project/delivery management activities including release planning, project scoping, Estimation, risk management, budgeting, finalization of technical / functional specifications Responsible for post installation deployment (PIT)Ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation in all product features. Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform product strategy. Lead sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Serve as the primary point of contact for all product-related queries and decisions. Experienced in working with different vendor teams to co-ordinate with release plans and get approvals for releases through release audits meetings with the customers
