Job Summary:
Markt Dispensary is seeking a fun, outgoing, knowledgeable, customer-focused Budtender to join our dispensary team. As a Budtender, you will be the face of our dispensary, guiding customers through their cannabis purchasing experience with professionalism, compassion, and accuracy. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a passion for cannabis education, and a commitment to compliance and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in customers, ensuring compliance with all local and state regulations
- Provide expert knowledge about cannabis products, including strains, concentrates, edibles, and accessories
- Assist customers in selecting the right products for their needs and preferences
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on product offerings, promotions, and industry trends
- Process transactions accurately using a point-of-sale (POS) system
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and compliance standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dispensary floor and display cases
- Restock shelves and assist with inventory management as needed
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and returns professionally
- Uphold company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Must be 21 years of age or older (per state regulations)
- Previous retail or customer service experience (cannabis industry preferred)
- Knowledge of cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment
- Basic math and computer skills
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (a plus)
- Experience with cannabis POS systems
