Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst / Data Modeler with strong communication and analytical capabilities to support a long-term hybrid engagement with our Sacramento, California based client. This role requires the ability to work on-site in Sacramento every Monday and Wednesday and is open only to candidates currently living within 60 miles of the area.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in data analysis, data modeling, and cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to translate complex business needs into structured data models and actionable insights. Strong communication skills are essential to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Requirements Gathering
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather, document, and refine detailed data requirements.
Translate business needs into clear and actionable specifications for data modeling and data integration teams.
Data Modeling & Design
Develop, optimize, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support enterprise data initiatives.
Ensure data structures align with business rules, reporting needs, and system integrations.
Data Quality & Validation
Analyze and validate datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot data issues and ensure alignment between business requirements and data solutions.
