Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to design and implement enterprise-scale data solutions within our Plano, TX office. This fully onsite role requires close collaboration with data engineering, analytics, governance, and cross-functional business teams to architect robust, scalable, and compliant data ecosystems.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud data platforms, data modeling, big data technologies, and real-time data processing. You will drive data architecture strategy, lead data platform modernization efforts, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Architect comprehensive, end-to-end enterprise data solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.
Design scalable data models, integration frameworks, and data flows to support analytics, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Lead implementation of data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming platforms for both structured and unstructured data.
Evaluate, recommend, and implement modern data technologies to enhance ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics capabilities.
Collaborate with Data Stewards to enforce data governance, security policies, and compliance with industry regulations.
Establish and promote data architecture standards, patterns, and best practices across the organization.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams and cross-functional partners.
Build proof-of-concept solutions to validate emerging technologies and new data use cases.
Document architecture designs, data flows, and integration patterns with clarity and consistency.
Stay current with evolving trends in big data, cloud platforms, and analytics to continuously enhance enterprise data capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in data architecture, enterprise data design, and large-scale data initiatives.
Expertise with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT frameworks, data integration, and real-time data pipelines.
Experience with data ingestion frameworks, time-series databases, and streaming analytics technologies.
Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data engineering and automation tasks.
Strong SQL skills with familiarity across NoSQL and graph database technologies.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working within agile, cross-functional teams.
Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices for data solution deployment.
Strong understanding of data security, compliance frameworks, and industry best practices.
Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer, or similar are highly desirable.
