Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and concrete work, demonstrating proficiency in various tasks related to concrete installation, finishing, and restoration. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team on diverse construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and pouring of concrete for various structures, including foundations, sidewalks, and walls.
- Operate concrete mixers and other power tools necessary for mixing and applying concrete.
- Perform rebar installation and concrete forming to ensure structural integrity.
- Execute concrete finishing techniques to achieve desired surface textures and appearances.
- Utilize hand tools and heavy equipment safely and efficiently on job sites.
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety regulations.
- Engage in heavy lifting and physical labor as required throughout the workday.
- Participate in renovation projects that may involve plastering, masonry, or flooring installation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by following best practices for site management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or related fields is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus.
- Skills in carpentry, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing, caulking, stucco application, tile laying, and flooring installation are desirable.
- Experience with hardscape projects is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the day (up to 50 pounds).
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites.
- Capability of reading blueprints and schematics accurately.
