This role will require access to access information controlled under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR, 15 CFR §§ 730-780),and likely the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR, 22 CFR §§ 120-130), and so applicants for this position must be one of a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or other Protected Individual (as defined under 8 USC § 1324b(a)(3)).
JOB SUMMARY
The Technical Program Manager 2 (TPM) will support the business on key programs that interfaces with our customers. The position will be responsible for all stages of the program life cycle with major customers, managing internal engineering and manufacturing plans, status reporting to customer for development and production orders, and ensuring on time completion of contract deliverables.
The responsibilities include support of NPI programs and tracking the progress of these programs through the Marki gate process. The TPM role is the primary interface for the sales functions into the factory. It is also the internal Marki Microwave interface between the engineering, operations and business teams and is critical in ensuring that customer programs successfully progress through the organization. The TPM will help support meetings to track new custom opportunities and support the programs once they have been signed off. Additionally, the position will be responsible for reviewing all external factory communications to customers as it relates to quality, product change notifications and other engineering documentation as needed.
The ideal candidate will be a strong team player while being self-motivated and driven, will take initiative and works well independently and cross functionally. He/she will be adept at managing through influence and comfortable in the “gray areas” of decision making. Additionally, the candidate will be dependable, organized, motivated to learn and provide recommendations for improvement and possess excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive accountability and awareness, solve problems, remove roadblocks, and proactively search out and address risks or weaknesses to ensure the project meets quality standards and completes on time
- Provide project leadership by working across all internal teams to meet internal and customer commitments
- Manage custom product requirements into the factory and support program development once the product has been approved to move forward
- Track product developments from initiation through to customer delivery
- Work with quality team to determine specific qualification plans needed for ruggedized applications
- Work with design teams to ensure all engineering deliverables are being completed in scope and on time based on purchase order requirements to allow on time invoicing.
- Work with sales operations to review customer RFQs and provide all necessary information for quoting purposes.
- Ability to establish standard methodologies to improve program performance, generate and improve processes, and work collaboratively with a variety of functional areas
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field; Masters Degree and/or MBA a plus.
- 2-3 years of prior RF/Microwave industry experience
- Experience in government contracting, SCD (Source Controlled Drawings), and Hi-rel/Space applications.
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. To be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
- Ability to travel when required
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- RF/Microwave product knowledge or experience designing RF/Microwave products is a plus.
- Familiarity with the RF/Microwave market segment
- Excellent communications skills, verbal and in writing
- Effective planning, time management and prioritization skills
- Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Familiar with project/program management tools such as MS Project
- Excellent presentation skills
