MarketSpark is seeking a Manager, Install Cost Management to strengthen operational discipline and financial accountability across our nationwide field installation and service network.

As we continue to scale rapidly, maintaining vendor accountability, financial integrity, and consistent cross-functional process execution has become critical. This role sits at the intersection of data analysis, operations, and field vendor performance — ensuring that every dollar spent is justified, every vendor-related process is followed, and every team is aligned.
The Role:
The Manager, Install Cost Management will oversee field installation vendor operational compliance, billing/cost accuracy, and job deliverable quality across installation and service activities. A key part of this role ensures that individual field job work orders are properly documented with labor and time data, and that vendor billing is aligned to those properly documented work orders.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and organizational skills with a solid understanding of vendor operations and fundamental financial concepts such as invoicing, purchase orders, and cost tracking. This position partners closely with the Director of Field Services & Support, internal teams (Support, Service Delivery, Finance), and external vendor partners to drive measurable performance, data visibility, and cost savings.
Key Responsibilities:
-Data Analysis and Financial Integrity:
- Analyze cost responsibility data, work order trends, and SLA performance to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or overages.
- Track and analyze reasons for excess time on site, to uncover root causes and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and recurring reports to provide leadership visibility into vendor billing accuracy, cost responsibility, excess time reasons, and SLA compliance.
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure monthly alignment between vendor billing, work order documentation, and customer invoicing.
-Vendor Compliance and Cost Control:
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure adherence to SLAs for scheduling, closeout, documentation, and invoicing.
- Review vendor invoices for accuracy, ensuring billing reflects actual time on site and properly completed work.
- Manage and resolve individual cost disputes between MarketSpark and vendors.
-Cross-Functional Collaboration and Process Improvement:
- Work with Support, Service Delivery, Finance, and Vendor teams to ensure processes are followed and documentation and invoicing supports proper cost tracking.
- Partner with leadership to recommend process updates or system changes based on analyzed data, identified challenges, and team feedback.
- Help define and communicate best practices for vendor compliance, invoice requirements, cross-functional process, and cost validation.
-Reporting and Visibility:
- Prepare and distribute regular vendor performance summaries, invoice alignment reports, and compliance scorecards for internal and external audiences.
- Ensure vendor and cost-related data is being properly entered by internal and external teams.
- Ensure that data visibility is maintained in relevant MarketSpark systems for accurate tracking of vendor performance and financial accountability.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- 5 years of experience in vendor management, field operations, compliance, or service delivery.
- Experience in financial analysis, invoice auditing, operations auditing, or cost control.
- Strong data analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, filters, pivot tables, and formula-based reporting).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams and vendor partners professionally.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in telecom, managed services, or a field-service–based organization.
- Working knowledge of financial and operational systems like SAP, Zendesk, and Salesforce
