Service Department Assistant Manager – Marketplace Chevrolet
Stonewall, LA - Full-Time
Marketplace Chevrolet is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Service Manager to support our service department and help lead our service advisor team to success.
This is a commission-based leadership role, not just another advisor with a different title, that has a strong earning potential for the right candidate. Pay is directly tied to performance, including service advisor productivity, CSI scores, and overall department efficiency.
The Assistant Service Manager will play a key role in ensuring exceptional customer experiences while maintaining efficient daily operations. This position works closely with the Service Manager to oversee service advisors, improve workflow, and ensure all processes run smoothly from check-in to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the leadership and supervision of the service advisor team to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and performance
- Monitor service advisor productivity, efficiency, and CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores
- Assist in maintaining proper staffing levels, including hiring, training, and development of service personnel
- Oversee new and used vehicle reconditioning (recon) processes to meet sales and delivery timelines
- Review and ensure accurate, timely warranty claim processing and compliance
- Help coordinate daily service drive operations to maintain a smooth and organized workflow
- Assist in resolving escalated customer concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with parts, sales, and management teams to ensure alignment and efficiency
- Analyze reports and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
Qualifications:
- Previous automotive service advisor or management experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to support team performance and drive customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of dealership service operations, warranty processes, and recon procedures
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
