Role Description
This is a part-time for a Workplace Chaplain located in Asheville, NC. The primary responsibilities include providing emotional and spiritual support to employees and their families through workplace visits, offering compassionate care during times of crisis, and addressing individual concerns confidentially. The chaplain will build trusting relationships, conduct regular follow-ups, and collaborate with employers to extend meaningful care and support tailored to employee needs.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal, empathetic listening, and communication skills
- Experience in counseling, pastoral care, or related fields
- A demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of spiritual care practices and the ability to provide emotional support in personal and workplace settings
- Capability to work independently, fulfill scheduled visits, and maintain a high level of professionalism
- Knowledge of workplace dynamics and the ability to collaborate with management to meet organizational and employee care goals
- Experience or education in chaplaincy, counseling, ministry, or related fields
