What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver position at Marketing?
JOB SUMMARY
The Delivery Driver will perform the numerous duties to support the plant receiving and warehousing functions in regard to timely delivery of materials and distribution to appropriate departments.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify loads against shipping papers; verify labels and quantity
- Collect Signatures for goods delivered
- Maintain DOT requirements.
- Maintain truck log (LTL shipping bills, signs, shrink-wrap, packing slips)
- Load and unload goods to and from truck
- Assure delivery to appropriate departments and locations
- Prepare receipts for loads picked up
- Applies knowledge of commercial driving regulations and road in the area
- Hels with palletization and shrink-wrap of daily goods.
- Adheres to all safety rules, regulations and company policies.
- Use of forklift and hand pallet jacks to unload shipments from trucks and move to storage area or deliver to appropriate departments
- Work overtime and weekend hours as needed
- Ability to communicate with all levels of employees and management. Works with others in a professional polite manner.
- Any and all other duties assigned by Bindery/Shipping Manager
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Commercial driver's license (Class B)
- Excellent driving record
- H.S. diploma or equivalent
- Printing Industry a plus
- Ability to operate electric pallet jack, floor jack, hand trucker, and shrink wrap.

- Must be willing to work nights, weekends and overtime

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Normal, no adverse or hazardous conditions. Warehouse and plant with exposure to dust, noise and fumes. Walking and standing on concrete flooring.
- Position requires grasping and utilizing manual dexterity including hand/finger coordination and the utilization of color vision
- Lift up to 50 lbs; lift up to 100 lbs with assistance occasionally.
- Ability to use forklift, steal banding equipment, roll grab, dual capacity weight count scales, electronic and manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, bar code scanners, computer and calculator
- Ability to sit (5%), stand (55%), walk (20%), kneel/squat (10%) and bend (10%) for eight hours.
