CheeseMonger, Market Square Birmingham is looking for a cheese Monger
- Prepping a large variety of cheese.
- Uphold high standards of guestservice through every encounter, including hand selling, cross merchandising,educational handouts and educating other key associates, especially during peakhours.
- Maintain, fill cheese section bypackaging, weighing and labeling product.
- Monitor and control inventory byworking with department manager and vendors to ensure that we have the correctshelf and display inventory for projected sales including additional displays.
- Manage overstock issues includingworking overstock inventory to the shelf.
- Monitor and control cheese orders.
- Receive and inventory productshipments
- Ensure cheese cutting practices arebeing followed.
- Assist in the selection, quantityand location for displays by working with Deli/Bakery Manager to develop aweekly and monthly display plan including cross merchandising. Review weekly adplan for items that will require displays.
- Assist with demonstrations andother store events.
- Maintain department shelfconditions and cleanliness including completing price changes, shelf anddisplay sign maintenance; and execute new and discontinued items.
- Stay current on food trends and newitems relevant to department.
Requirements:
· Mustbe able to communicate with customers and team members in a friendly manner.
· Mustbe at least 18 years old.
· Ableto work in a fast paced environment at times.
· Mustmaintain a professional appearance.
