Day Shift and Swing Shift Trailer Mechanic

We have an immediate opening for a reliable Trailer Mechanic to work in our Portland, OR shop.

This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience. Our chosen candidate will be eligible for our employee benefits package which includes medical/dental/vision, PTO, and 401k.

Position Responsibilities:

• Experienced with making high-quality service repairs on class 8 diesel trucks and semi-trailers to minimize comebacks
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Willing to work in all weather conditions including winter driving
• Accurately diagnose and perform repairs on varies types of diesel trucks and trailing equipment
• Must have strong knowledge of DOT regulations as well as ability to identify maintenance issues
• Mechanics must have excellent customer service skills and maintain communication with leaders
• Must be clean, organized, motivated and take pride in their work
• Must be able to lift up to 75lbs or more
• Maintain company vehicle and equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Must have 49 CFR 396.19 and 396.25 certifications

· Must have 3 years of experience in diesel truck repair either in a shop or in the field and experience in trailer repairs

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Proficiency in the use of hand tools required

· Must have your own tools & box

· Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable

· Class A CDL preferred but not required

• Skilled with computers and paperwork for RO’s
• Able to quickly learn new programs and processes
• Able to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
• Reliable and dependable with a strong attendance history

Monday – Friday 8 hours shift with 30 minute lunch break
