Markesbery & Richardson Co., LPA is a highly regarded regional law firm with a dynamic civil litigation practice, seeking a talented and motivated Associate Attorney to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 0 to 3 years of experience to work on sophisticated litigation matters and gain meaningful, hands-on experience from day one.
Our practice focuses on insurance defense and coverage, as well as commercial and construction litigation. We also welcome applications from more experienced attorneys with a strong background in insurance defense and/or personal injury.

What you'll do:
- Manage and handle active litigation matters with increasing independence
- Partner with experienced attorneys on case strategy and execution
- Appear in court and represent clients at hearings and proceedings
- Communicate directly with clients and develop trusted relationships
- Analyze records and develop case assessments
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial materials
- Participate in negotiations, mediations, and case resolutions
- What we're looking for:
- 0-3 years of litigation experience (preferred)
- Strong analytical, writing, and advocacy skills
- A proactive, self-driven approach with a commitment to excellence
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be Licensed to practice in Kentucky (Ohio license preferred but not required)
