Marked & Made is a custom and personalized gifts store in the heart of Roanoke. We engrave drinkware, print custom everything, and make the kind of personalized gifts that get a genuine "oh my gosh, I love it" out of people. We are small, we are growing, and we are looking for one creative human to grow right alongside us.

Heads up: this is not a stand-behind-the-counter-and-wait kind of gig. It is an apprenticeship with a real title, a real craft to master, and a real ladder to climb. We teach you all the technical magic. You bring the energy and the want-to.

What you'll get your hands on

• Our toys: laser engravers, DTF printers, and UV printers (we teach all of it, promise)
• The full life of an online order: picking it, making it, packing it up pretty, and shipping it out the door
• The front of the shop, the phone, and the inbox, run your way
• Product ideas, from "what if we made..." to actually making it
• Our social media and marketing
• The general art of keeping a busy little studio humming

Who we're hoping walks through the door

We can teach the machines. The good stuff comes from you:

• You're reliable. You show up when you say you will, on time, ready to roll. We run a sets schedule, so a dependable way to get here matters.
• You're curious. You like figuring things out, watching how something is made, and trying it yourself. Slow afternoons are your playground for getting better.
• You notice things. When something looks a little off, out of place, or messy, your hands just fix it. No one has to ask.
• You're a people person. When someone walks in, you're up front with a smile, ready to help them dream something up. "Yes, we can totally do that, and it's going to look amazing" is basically your catchphrase.
• Things stick. Show you once or twice and you've got it. We love teaching. We just don't love teaching the same thing on repeat.
• You want to grow. Into a real leader here, not just a name on the schedule.

Zero experience on the machines required. We mean that.

How the pay works (you set the pace)

You start at $13.00/hr. Then you level up. Get certified on each core skill and you earn a permanent raise, every time. The more you master, the more you make.

Skills you can certify on:

• Laser operation
• DTF printing
• UV printing
• Running the front solo (open, close, POS, phones)
• Owning social and content

Learn it all and you're earning the top of the range, all on your own hustle.

When you'd work

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• The occasional weekend when we need backup
• Extra paid hours up for grabs during big corporate orders and events
