Summary:
The Senior General Accountant is responsible for assisting in all areas related to monthly and quarterly month end tasks, budget and forecasting as well as business compliance. The General Accountant II is responsible for assisting in all areas related to monthly and quarterly month end tasks, budget and forecasting as well as business compliance.
Responsibilities:
Monthly tasks to include but not limited to:
- Month end journal entries
- Calculating Sales commissions
- Prepare various financial reporting
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Monthly P&L Analysis
- File sales and use tax work with outside providers
- Intercompany reconciliation
- Inventory reconciliation
- Fixed Asset module administration & execution
Quarterly tasks to include but not limited to:
- Account Receivable reconciliation (IFRS9)
- Revenue Recognition (IFRS 16)
- Calculate capitalized freight
- Calculate warranty reserve
- Excess and obsolete inventory
Other
- Weekly vendor payments and maintain bank GL accounts
- Credit card coding/upload/accrual and monitoring spends
- Oversee goods receipt/invoice reconciliation
- File annual 1099 and 1096 IRS Forms.
- Support budgets and forecasts process under the direction of management
- File and maintain business licenses
- File property taxes
- Participate in annual audit
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university; or
- 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication/Language Skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must.
- Ability to read and comprehend documents, simple instructions, and product labels.
Technical Competencies
- Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
- SAP preferred but not required.
Mathematical Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to calculate figures and amounts along with performing basic math functions.
Reasoning Abilities
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Strong analytical skills with ability to identify opportunities.

Salary : $70,060 - $82,424
