Job Purpose:
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, develop, and direct the care of patients in the Rural Health Clinic setting as a Medical Staff leader, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the medical staff within the Rural Health Clinic to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with the clinic’s goals and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and administrative staff to optimize patient care and clinic operations.
- Oversee patient care activities, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and protocols.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of medical staff performance and patient outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
- Serve as a liaison between the clinic and external healthcare entities to foster partnerships and enhance service delivery.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote health education and awareness.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations and standards.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to medical staff, fostering professional growth and development.
- Lead efforts in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
Required Education:
Required Experience:
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of practice experience
- At least 1 year of experience in Medical Staff leadership
- Current licensure in California
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
