Mark Twain Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time RECOVERY COUNSELOR for our HANNIBAL MISSOURI - COMMUNICATIONS DRIVE location. This is an in-office position. Responsibilities
- Provide treatment services to Consumers and maintain clincial record according to standards
- Conduct Consumer screening, intake and orientation
- Complete comprehensive substance use assessment and clinical reviews
- Maintain assigned caseload with a schedule for sessions and engage with consumers at frequency indicated by their current level of care
- Make referrals to appropriate agencies to meet Consumer and/or family needs
- Participate in interdisciplinary team planning to discuss pertinent clinical and management issues
- Provide individual treatment, group treatment, aftercare services, and other services as assigned by the Clinical Director or Program Director
- When asked and trained, provide clinical supervision for MAACD I/II applicants
Adherence to the MTBH Ethical Code of Conduct and all policies is required.
Qualifications
- Recognized as a Qualified Substance Use Professional or Recognized Substance Use Professional by the Missouri Credentialing Board
- Two (2) years of responsible professional experience in the treatment of alcohol and drug abuse
- Maintain qualified status
