Mark Twain Behavioral Health is seeking a part-time FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST for our HANNIBAL FORREST DRIVE location. This part-time position offers competitive pay and has work hours Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM each day. Consider joining our MTBH Team! The Facilities Maintenance Specialist performs general maintenance of physical structures and grounds, assists with vehicle maintenance and restocking supplies, and performs deliveries.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist Facilities Director and Facilities Site Manager (FSM) as assigned
- Assist with physical structure maintenance, including painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC system, flooring care, and ceiling tile replacements
- Complete requests for facility assistance and respond to maintenance emergencies in accordance with departmental procedures
- Assist with minor pest control treatments
- Perform agency vehicle maintenance, including refueling, general safety inspections, coordination of vehicle delivery to and from mechanical shops for maintenance, repairs, recalls, warranty work, and cleaning
- Assist with property grounds maintenance, including ensuring grounds are free from trash and debris, landscaping beds are cleared of weeds, failed plants and shrubbery are replaced as directed, and landscaping is trimmed
- Assist with receiving and distribution of deliveries, restocking building supplies, and purchasing errands as assigned
- Support the installation, maintenance, repair, and assembly of appliances, equipment, and furnishing as directed
- Support site projects such as office relocations, renovations, and environmental improvements
- Adhere to all client rights, including confidentiality
Adherence to the MTBH Ethical Code of Conduct and all policies is required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one (1) year of facility maintenance/building operations or related experience
- Class F driver’s license
- Basic familiarity with motor vehicle preventative maintenance, and skills to provide light carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical services
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer/client focus
- Problem-solving and analysis abilities
- Computer skills and ability to type and use computers, laptops, tablets, and other electronic devices for data collection management, and work order communications
