Job Summary:
Mark Tanner Construction, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Lead Foreman to oversee operations in our high-volume cabinet shop. This role requires 10–15 years of cabinet manufacturing experience, strong leadership and management abilities, and hands-on expertise with CNC machines, edgebanders, and production woodworking. The Lead Foreman will supervise daily shop activities, ensure accurate fabrication of cabinet components, maintain production efficiency, and uphold our high standards of craftsmanship. Occasional delivery and installation of custom pieces may be required.
Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties
The Lead Foreman’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead, supervise, and mentor cabinet shop staff in a fast-paced production environment
- Manage daily workflow, job assignments, scheduling, and shop organization
- Oversee safe and efficient operation of CNC machinery, edgebanders, and all woodworking equipment
- Ensure accuracy in measuring, preparing, machining, finishing, and assembling cabinet components
- Maintain high quality control standards throughout all phases of production
- Troubleshoot equipment and production issues to minimize downtime
- Coordinate with project managers, designers, and installers to meet deadlines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant workspace
- Valid driver’s license required; ability to operate a box truck preferred
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of cabinet shop or woodworking experience
- Management or lead/supervisory experience required
- Strong proficiency with CNC machines, edgebanders, and modern shop equipment
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive leadership style
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Able to work effectively in a high-volume, team-driven environment
