Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Attorney to join a solo practitioner. Offering full time, flexible part time or contract basis (hourly or per job). The ideal candidate will have some civil litigation, courtroom experience. We practice in many areas of law but experience at least one any of these fields is required: personal injury, medical malpractice, divorce law, family law, landlord/tenant, business/contract law, trusts and estates, real estate law. The position will require court appearances and in office time but can be partially remote.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft legal documents including briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, and agreements
- Represent clients in court
- Manage cases from inception to resolution
- Stay updated on changes in the law and judicial decisions
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York state bar association
- Litigation experience
- Proficiency in legal research
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience working in a law office

Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
