Position Summary
The CAD Designer is responsible for transforming client concepts into production-ready jewelry models while ensuring every design meets Marks Jewelers' quality, manufacturing, and aesthetic standards. This position works closely with clients, sales consultants, production staff, setters, and vendors throughout every stage of the custom design process—from concept through final production.

What You'll Do
- Design accurate, production-ready 3D jewelry models using Rhino, MatrixGold, or equivalent CAD software.
- Create high-quality renderings for client presentations and approvals.
- Consult directly with clients to discuss custom designs, modifications, and project expectations.
- Translate sketches, concepts, and customer ideas into manufacturable designs.
- Ensure every model meets proper engineering, casting, stone-setting, and manufacturing tolerances.
- Collaborate with sales consultants, CAD designers, setters, jewelers, and production staff to achieve exceptional results.
- Operate resin printers and prepare prototype models.
- Coordinate projects with outside vendors, manufacturers, and casting partners.
- Source gemstones and specialty components when required.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and timelines.
- Assist with estimating custom projects.
- Participate in quality control reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adapt quickly to priority projects and changing production schedules.

Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional jewelry CAD experience (required).
- Advanced proficiency in Rhino, MatrixGold, or equivalent jewelry CAD software.
- Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing, casting, stone setting, and production methods.
- Ability to create production-ready models with minimal revisions.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Comfortable consulting directly with clients.
- Working knowledge of Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence.
- Ability to manage multiple custom projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and collaborative mindset.

Schedule
This is a full-time, on-site position.
Regular schedule:
- Tuesday through Saturday
