Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair various household appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers using schematics and technical manuals.
- Install new appliances following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, refrigeration units, plumbing connections, and mechanical components to identify root causes of malfunctions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ladder use, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently.
- Interpret schematics and electrical diagrams to guide repairs and installations accurately.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and perform equipment repairs to prevent future issues.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction after each service call.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly while adhering to safety protocols during on-site visits.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and follow-up recommendations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or appliance repair specialist with a strong background in equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems, electrical work, plumbing connections, and mechanical components is essential.
- Skilled in reading schematics, ladder diagrams, and technical manuals for accurate diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience with MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) practices is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of electrical experience including wiring, circuit testing, and electrical safety standards.
- Experience operating power tools safely and effectively in repair or installation tasks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to assemble appliances or disassemble components for repair purposes.
- Customer service orientation with excellent communication skills to educate clients about appliance care and troubleshooting tips.
