Farmers Protégé agent program
Program:
• An up-to-12-month paid mentorship program intended to prepare the protégé agent for Farmers agency ownership.
• Upon completion of the program, the protégé agent may have the opportunity to become appointed to one of Farmers’ agency contracts (acquisition, seed or retail) depending on availability.
Compensation:
• Base monthly income during the program.
• Commissions paid for policies sold by the protégé agent.
• $4,000 graduation bonus and additional $5,000 sign-on bonus paid upon appointment to a Farmers agency contract (program completion).
Sales skills:
• Actively develop and apply new business prospecting techniques to generate organic new business for the mentor agency (auto, home, life, business).
• Quote, calculate and discuss policy premiums and bind new business premium.
• Make suitable insurance recommendations on policy options and coverages.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the different types of products offered by Farmers, as well as underwriting guidelines for each.
• Track daily prospecting and sales activities.
Customer Service Skills:
• Actively develop and apply best practice customer service skills.
• Assist customers to make policy changes as needed.
• Handle billing inquiries as requested by customers.
• Respond to customer claims situations appropriately and timely.
• Work with customers as assigned in a fair and ethical manner.
