JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Implementation oversees the planning, execution, and successful delivery of all implementation projects across the organization. This role ensures that new clients, products, systems, and internal processes are launched accurately, on time, and in alignment with company objectives. The Director provides strategic leadership to the Implementation Team, manages departmental budgets, conducts employee performance reviews, and ensures compliance with regulatory, carrier, and internal standards.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Insurance, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
  • 7 years of experience in benefits administration, insurance brokerage, or HRIS/benefits technology.
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience managing teams or leading large-scale projects.
  • Expertise in employee benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary lines).
  • · Strong project management skills and familiarity with implementation methodologies.
  • · High proficiency with benefits administration platforms, CRM tools, and Excel.
  • Experience with systems such as Employee Navigator, and Selerix, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits, enrollment processes, and carrier requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and evaluate team performance.
  • Experience developing and managing departmental budgets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills when partnering with clients, carriers, directors, and internal departments.
  • Working knowledge of compliance standards related to benefits, data security, and industry regulations.
  • High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and oversee all implementation projects to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant setup of new clients, products, systems, and internal processes.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor the Implementation Department’s budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews, set development goals, and provide ongoing coaching and support to team members.
  • Ensure all implementation activities meet compliance standards, including regulatory requirements, carrier guidelines, data privacy rules, and internal policies.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Managers, Carriers, Technology, Finance, HR, and Operations to drive seamless project execution.
  • Establish and maintain standardized processes, documentation, and workflows to promote consistency and quality.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or high-visibility implementation issues.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and internal stakeholders to provide updates, manage expectations, and ensure all deliverables are met.
  • Evaluate and implement improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables, adjusting resources as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Track departmental metrics and provide regular reports to executive leadership.
  • Stay current on industry changes, product updates, compliance developments, and best practices.
  • Support cross-departmental initiatives that improve operational performance or enhance client experience.
