Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in various types of trucks and trailers—including hopper refrigerated, flatbed, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailers across local, regional, or long-haul routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment , ensuring cargo integrity and security
- Drive a variety of specialized trucks including Hoppersrefrigerated trailers, flatbeds, based on delivery needs
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance issues and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times while managing delivery schedules and customer requirements
- Secure freight properly during transit to prevent damage or shifting during transport
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on route
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and proven experience in commercial driving 2 years experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and various trailer types such as Hoppers, refrigerated, flatbed trailers.
- Prior experience with freight load & unload procedures and route driving logistics
- Ability to operate equipment safely when required for loading or unloading cargo
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking operations including DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Strong physical stamina for loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, customers, and team members
