Camp Lowell Cardiology is seeking a full-time Cardiac Sonographer, but we are open to part time and PRN availability as well. Here you will use noninvasive testing equipment to perform procedures on patients such as ultrasounds to photograph and diagnose diseases in the cardiac organs of the body, primarily the heart valves, chambers, and vessels.

Full time is considered 30 hours per week; this position requires 30-32 hours per week. A weekly schedule consists of working 4 days per week, Monday - Friday.
Job Qualifications:
- Certificate of Completion of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) OR
- Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialling International (CCI)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a sonographer preferred but not required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Job Duties Consist Of:
- Prepare for examinations by checking equipment; inventorying and restocking supplies; reviewing patient schedule; reading physician orders for specific exams; setting-up recording equipment; entering patient information into system.
- Reduce patient anxieties by explaining procedures, answering questions and protecting patients by adhering to safety policies and protocols.
- Obtain quality images by positioning and repositioning transducer; monitoring display screen; listening to signals; adjusting equipment to detect artifacts that mimic abnormalities; recording images.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications and attending continuing education seminars.
- Computer and archiving skills needed for gathering and copying images onto discs.
- Maintain record of CME’s and/or credentialing renewal.
- EchoPAC and ultrasound equipment must be maintained, cleaned and troubleshooted when necessary.
- Proficiency in stress echocardiograms; contrast bubble studies; knowledge and use of cardiac imaging enhancers.
- Detailed knowledge in anatomy and physiology of the heart to detect abnormal functioning.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws and facility policies and procedures.
